Bible Related Ministries was launched in 1974 and is dedicated primarily
to the task of going to the aid of churches undergoing internal strife.
We are saddened to announce that Rev. David J. Bauer passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was the Director of Bible Related Ministries Inc. Hinsdale, IL and was the former pastor for 20 years at Summit Bible Church in Summit, Illinois. Pastor Bauer was the loving and devoted husband for 57 years to Dolores Ann Bulger; loving father of Anthony Bauer; proud and much loved grandfather of Maxwell Joseph (Trinity) Bauer and Jack Henry Bauer; dear brother of John Mark (Karen) Bauer, Daniel (late Lynn) Bauer, Steven (Norma) Bauer, Ruth (Richard) Long, Elizabeth (Carlos) Arguelles, and Joy (Peter) Schulz; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. For 20 years, Rev. Bauer was a machinist for International Harvester. He was a gracious man, whose life’s mission was to instill goodness and the love of God in all. Rev. Bauer will be deeply missed by the members of his former congregation and his friends and associates. He faced every challenge in his life with love, courage, dignity, and pride. Let us take comfort in knowing that he will be welcomed home into the arms of our heavenly Father. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2025 from 5PM to 8 PM at La Grange Bible Church located at 850 7th Ave, LaGrange IL. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, friends and family are invited to gather at La Grange Bible Church for a Service from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Rev. Bauer’s name to Bible Related Ministries Inc., P.O. Box 272, Hinsdale, IL 60522.
